Vitamin D is very important to our health for many reasons. But the very important is that vitamin D is essential to help in the absorption of calcium. The daily vitamin D intake is about 600 international units (IU) for 70 years and younger and 800n (IU) if you are 71 years or older.

We get a good amount of vitamin D from exposure to the sun. However, when we can’t assure this daily exposure to the sunlight, we can take vitamin D supplements.
